Photographers love photography.  We will do just about any job that shows the importance of it too.  When a friend reached out asking if I could help them with a photo for her father in laws services I felt such joy to be of service to them.  It was not the first time I had done a photo for a funeral and many of you know I often “play” with pictures for my clients.

To take a special photo and alter it to allow the person being recognized to take center stage how his family saw him best was an honor. ❤️

It’s headshot season for me!  This lovely lady was a gem to work with and I definitely felt honored to be chosen to take pictures for someone that brings us important news stories.  My dream job (if I didn’t have a family) would probably be to photograph history in the making.  Candid shots of famous political figures, documents being signed, news in the making, etc.  When my family was in D.C. and we walked the halls of different government building I couldn’t take my eyes off all of the photographs thinking, “to be the person who captured this image.” Maybe someday that can be me… but until then….. 😊

@brooklyn.smitherman was so chill!  Coming off of a recent knee surgery she cracked me up when she’d say “I can’t do that” and I would be like “Doh! Sorry!” And that hair! 😍. You know most of the reason I don’t comment on the beauty of my senior girls in my posts is because 1) they are ALL beautiful AND 2) I think girls need to see they are so much more than their looks.  Oh to be 17/18 again 😄.

The @teeteebird79 family is wonderful!  Another indoor session that we had last minute before the Holidays!  It’s always better to document your family than not at all… even if it wasn’t your original plan!  Who knew their bonus room would provide the best light like a little studio for me?  Good times.
